Ray-Ban Remix Integration

The Ray-Ban Remix system allows customers to customize and order eyewear directly from Italy through Ray-Ban’s online e-commerce stores.

The project involved integrating the Remix system into the existing Japanese Ray-Ban e-commerce store.

This custom integration allowed the Japanese team to manage orders through their existing e-commerce store, as well as handling orders by automatically sending them to the Ray-Ban global factories to make the eyewear.

As well as the custom engineering, we managed the communications between Ray-Ban's international teams and the domestic Japanese teams and continue to provide aftercare support for both international and domestic departments.

Ray-Ban Japan needed to integrate its global Remix customization system into an existing local e-commerce platform without disrupting daily operations. The goal was to let Japanese customers design and order bespoke eyewear through their familiar store interface while ensuring orders flowed seamlessly to Ray-Ban’s manufacturing facilities in Italy. Clear communication between Ray-Ban’s international Remix team and the Japanese store managers was essential to align technical requirements and maintain brand consistency.

Rain Interactive engineered a custom integration layer that bridged the Remix API with the Japanese e-commerce backend. We coordinated closely with Remix developers in Italy and the local Ray-Ban Japan team to map workflows, synchronize product data, and automate order routing. The solution preserved the existing store’s look and feel, added intuitive customization controls, and handled secure data transfers to the global factories. After launch, our team continues to manage cross-team communications and provides ongoing technical support for both domestic and international stakeholders.

The integrated Remix experience launched smoothly, giving Japanese customers full control over frame, lens, and engraving options within the Ray-Ban Japan store. Orders now pass automatically from the local site to Italy for production, reducing manual handoffs and errors. Ray-Ban Japan reports higher engagement in the customization tool and a measurable increase in average order value.
